we are currently looking for ballet teachers and mat Pilates instructors who can teach small groups of adult.

Ballet teachers must be able to teach classical ballet (begginer and intermediate level) and comfortable around adults.

For Pilates instructor, minimum of mat Pilates certification if required.

Morning class and evening class will be opened and working schedule is highly flexible! Also pay rate is negotiable.

Gentleman Dance Teacher/Host Criteria: A Gentlemen Teacher/Host needs to be a refined or cultivated dancer to be accepted. It is essential that a Gentlemen Teacher/Host be a competent (but not expert) dancer, and he must have a proficiency in the basic steps of the social ballroom dances, fox-trot, waltz, swing, hustle, NC two-step, and the Latin rumba and cha-cha. Jobs are for Social Events. Teaching/Hosting ladies ages 50 -65. Work will be at social dances and social events where there is also dancing. Absolutely NO fraternization.

REQUIRES AN AUDITION with professional dance teacher. Neither championship training nor exhibition style is necessary. It is desired to have the Gentlemen Teacher/Host dance at the level of the lady to make her comfortable and help her look good.

Dance Criteria:

Be able to discern the musical beats to a piece of dance music.

Understand the beats-per-measure in a piece of music, such as 4/4 and 3/4 time so that rhythms can be understood.

Be able to dance to the music on time and on the beat.

Be able to correctly hold his dance partner relative to body position and placement of head, arms, hands and feet.

Understand the basic fundamentals in leading/teaching his partner.

Distinguish and know the standard dances: Fox Trot, Swing, Waltz, Rumba, and Cha-Cha, and NC 2-Step, Salsa.

Using the standard dances listed above, be able to dance a minimum of 8 or more Bronze Level steps in American-Social Style. Silver level great but not required!

Understand and practice the traditional "line of dance" rule of movement on the dance floor:

Outside lanes move counter-clockwise for faster dances like Fox Trot, Waltz, etc.

Center dance floor is for Swing, Slow dancing, Free style, Line dances.

Rumba, Cha-cha. Salsa, NC 2-step dance in your own small area.

Understand etiquette sufficiently to:

Ask politely by being close enough to extend his hand to the lady when requesting a dance. Graciously use the phrase, "May I have the pleasure of this dance with you?"

Guide the lady to the floor & return her to her chair or prior location. Again, thank her.

The Polynesian Paradise dancers are hiring for upcoming US tour April 5th - April 30th. There is pay for performances, travel provided and accommodation.

Audition is Sunday 1/27/13 at 12noon - 1:00PM. Come prepared to dance. We will teach you a routine.
Rehearsals are Sundays from 12noon -4:00PM.

Ballet Kukan Academy is a classical ballet school under Royal Academy of Dance method. We are looking for a teacher who is either fully certified (preferable) with RAD or equivalent.
