I also have auditioned for a show from Monterrey,Mexico. I wasn't as successful because of money wise. This position is for head coach of the varsity and junior varsity dance teams at Mission Vista High School. Hours are approximately about 6 hours per week, but increase in busy time periods. Our dance teams are competitive and perform at all pep rallies and basketball games. We are looking for a coach that has well rounded experience and competition experience with excellent choreography. Schedule of practice is from 3:15-6:30. You can decide the days of the week that practice is held. Must be willing and able to work with a team of other coaches. Our Mission is to provide dance and movement classes to anyone who has a desire to move creatively to music. We are committed to see our dance community thrive. We are passionate about providing these services to families that could not otherwise afford specialized classes (that typically come at a higher cost.) Families are able to apply for a scholarship (must be a Vista resident) and watch their children from pre-school to 18 be enriched with a variety of classes!

Our priority is to find an energetic, super kind, creative, kids enrichment teacher. We are looking to fill this position asap. You will be an independent contractor with flexibility as needed. We currently have high energy 3-5 & 6-9 Year olds. We can add additional age groups and class time slots on weekdays & weekends to fulfill your desire to teach if the current time blocks do not allow for enough hours for you.

Classes are held in a dance studio room. You have access to mats, wedges, uneven bars, ballet bars, mirror's, hand/foot placement decals, and props as needed to include colorful scarves, wrist bells, ribbons, ukuleles and maracas.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement dance curriculum for various age groups for beginner skill levels.

- Teach dance techniques, choreography, and routines to students

- Create a FUN, positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills

- Maintain a safe dance studio environment

- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to ensure smooth operations when needed

Qualification:

- Previous experience as a dance teacher or in a related role

- Have a passion and willingness to teach

- Strong knowledge of various dance styles and technique or a specific performing arts specialty

- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience, enthusiasm, and a happy, cheerful attitude

- Experience working with children, including preschool-aged students

- Demonstrate moves being taught
