Looking for part time professional dancers for Modern/Contemporary company in Baton Rouge. Company also holds an annual community performance featuring Broadway/Rockettes styled movements alongside contemporary repertoire. Company is known throughout the city as an exceptionally strong company for Louisiana. Pay is minimal, but opportunities include great "family" of dancers, a chance for working with world-class choreographers (Guggenheim Fellow, Formerly with Hubbard Street, Dance Professors...) Creative opportunities also include collaborating with galleries, stage d community work, adaptation of Shakespeare for the contemporary dance stage. Dancers receive class/training for free as dancers rotate teaching company class in modern/contempoary, ballet, jazz... Cost of living relatively cheap.
