We are a Recreation Center looking for someone to teach Creative Movement to 3-5 year old's, Pre-Ballet to 4-6 year old's and Ballet to 6-8 year old's. Children sign up for 6 week sessions. No teaching experience needed. Just experience in dance. Prefer Tuesday evenings, but would be willing to offer it on Monday or Wednesdays. This is a Recreation Program. Very close to U of M.

This position works under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Manager and Recreation Supervisor of Arts & Music Programming to enhance the quality of life for all residents and to foster individual and community in all aspects of physical, mental, social and environmental through recreation opportunities.

The position will be responsible for supervision, training and coordination of the dance program. This is a year-round, part-time position that includes evening and weekend hours. Average weekly hours vary 15 – 20 hours per week.

Essential functions include: planning, organizing and directing dance program in a recreation setting; providing support for all participants and staff to create an inclusive environment; working as part of a team to ensure quality programs for all ages; following staff policies and procedures; communicating well with students and parents and establishing rules and guidelines for the classroom; and providing a safe, fun and appropriate experience of all participants.
