Spotlight Dance Academy is a premier dance studio in Grand Haven Michigan that offers recreational classes for ages 3 - adult and a competitive program. We conduct an annual showcase production in the spring as well as Nutcracker in the Winter and often perform for community events.
We are looking for a Dance Instructor/Teacher to join our creative team for the 2015-16 dance season, but not just any Dance Instructor! We're looking for the one who has the ability to teach all styles of dance but would also consider those who have a specialty in one or two areas. Candidate should be able to teach at all age levels, has a passion for the art of dance, a strong technical background and the ability to shape inspiring young minds.

We offer classes in multiple dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and lyrical.

Hearts in Motion is looking to expand for the 2015-2016 season. In order to do this we like to interview teachers and give them a chance to teach classes at our studio in the Summer to get to know our program. Currently, our openings are flexible and will be decided upon based on qualified instructor's schedule. We are currently looking for teachers in the following areas:

-Ballet
-Tap
-Jazz
-Kindergarten/Pre-K Classes
-Hip-Hop
-Contemporary
-Acro
-Tumbling

Hours are flexible. Teachers could work as little as one hour (one class) or many more depending on scheduling and availability. Teachers need to have experience teaching and working with children. Pay rate depends on experience.

West Michigan Youth Ballet is non-profit organization residing in Ada, Michigan that brings youth from all over West Michigan together to put on 2 full length ballets per year. We are currently seeking a Costume Manager to join our team.

The Costume Manager would be responsible for supervising all aspects of the performance wardrobe for both full length ballets. The Costume Manager would lead the day-to-day management of the costuming department including but not limited to the following tasks:

-Pull and organize costumes, accessories, wigs, etc. for production
-Schedule all non-lead fittings on Sundays
-Pull and organize all costumes for fittings
-Assist the Costume Designer in Fitting
-Organize all costumes for alterations
-Preform the more difficult alterations
-Train or guide volunteers in performing alterations
-Organize volunteers to help organize, alter, and launder costumes
-Organizing dressing room assignments and volunteers
-Determine, source, order, pick up and return any costume or tuxedo rentals for productions
-Maintaining notion stock in the Costume Shop
-Supervise and assist with load-in and load-out at the studio and at the theater
-Sort laundry and dry cleaning, clean costumes, return to stock after they have been cleaned
-Supervise non-production events where costumes are involved

The Costume Manager would need to be at the studio during rehearsals on Sundays from 12pm-5pm, assist with alterations 2 evening a week for approximately 3 hours each and do outside preparation and shopping for approximately 2 hours per week. The performance season is from August 1 through April 15.

Candidates should have advanced sewing and alteration skills. Experience in costuming is desirable but not required. Candidate should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
