We're a growing recreational studio looking for an upbeat, positive person to join our team of dance teachers in our St. Bernard, Ohio location. We want an experienced, reliable person with a passion for dance, strong dance technique and that loves working with children. This position is open, to teachers proficient in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical and contemporary. You may qualify to teach at our Anderson Township location as well. You must be able to provide fun and energetic classes for children K-12, must be motivated to inspire and instill a love of dance. This position is a yearly contract (9-13-21 to June, 2022) for classes being held weekdays after school from 4-7:30 pm.

SMAG Dance Collective is a contemporary fusion dance company founded by Michael Groomes in 2003. SMAG's style combines ballet, modern and jazz dance along with a fusion of ethnic and social forms of dance. This combination of styles produces a dynamic, entertaining and engaging presentation. The company has spearheaded an effort to dialogue with other arts producing organizations and develop collaborations which push the impetus of the region toward being an arts and cultural destination.

THE AUDITION:
Dancers should bring a resume and headshot. Dancers should come prepared to take a ballet class, a modern class, and a jazz/hip hop class. Dancers will also be given repertory to learn at the audition.

Looking for a energized teacher who is motivated , confident and loves teaching . Looking for someone who has training in various styles including hip hop for young children , teens and adults . Salary will be determined by experience and resume .

Looking for a dance teacher to teach hip hop classes for students between the age of 6-16. Students experience is beginner to intermediate skill level and ready for a challenge. Choreography must be age appropriate and family acceptable. Classes offered are an all boys class and all girls class. Trying to build up the hip hop classes at our recreational dance studio, no competition participation.

Classes currently arranged for Thursday nights but can be moved to better accommodate your schedule. Season runs from August 29 - June 4,2017. Must be employed the whole season. Staff meeting before season starts.
