Director of 2 active liturgical dance teams needed for a large SE Sioux Falls church. Both groups rehearse on Sunday afternoon:

Middle School Team: 1:00 - 2:30
High School Team: 2:00 - 3:30
(overlap is intended for joint activities and social time)

Each group dances in worship approx. one Sunday a month (with either recordings or live musicians at the director's discretion), as well as at special services (Christmas Eve, Easter, etc.) throughout the year. Often, these groups have a recital on one evening in the spring. The two teams also work on various ministry projects and help in the community. There are parents available to assist the director as needed.

This is a paid part time position reporting to the Director of Worship Arts and the Board of Worship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A passion for arts ministry with primarily girls in Middle and High School
• Choreography experience required
• Dance education experience helpful
• Liturgical dance experience helpful
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• A motivating, caring leader who nurtures their team
