Dance Teacher – Full Time or Part Time (dependent upon applicants preference)

Full Time position has full Utah Retirement System (URS) + Health/Benefits

Utah ARTS Academy invites applications for a full-time dance educator to begin August 2022 in the brand new Utah ARTS Academy building. Applicants who can work part-time are invited to apply as well. Candidates should come with a depth of dance knowledge and/or experience ranging from traditional ballet to a more commercial/contemporary dance style(s). Primary responsibilities include teaching students (14-18) fundamental ballet, lyrical, modern/contemporary dance, as well as jazz and/or hip-hop dance forms. Additional responsibilities will include creating choreography for festivals, concerts and other events as part of the UAA production schedule. UAA is a dynamic and highly collaborative environment, with students being accepted into top arts and academic universities across the state. All teachers at UAA work to connect skills to dreams, in order to move students to their next level - whether professional or academic.

Candidates will be reviewed based on experience, qualifications, professional work, university training, etc. Having a BA, BFA or MFA in dance or dance education is preferred, though work experience and professional training is acceptable. Candidates without a Utah State Education License will need to work towards licensure throughout their employment.

Salary Range dependent on experience: starting at $47,500 (w/ Health + Retirement)
